Pool, Spa & Amenity Signs

Pool, spa and amenity signs

Community and club pools in Florida need posted rules, a bather load, spa rules and other notices. We make them in aluminum and marine-grade HDPE, including ColorCore® (layered color HDPE), that stand up to sun, chlorine and salt air, and we install them within 50 miles of Jupiter.

What Florida's pool rule says about signs

Florida Administrative Code 64E-9 covers public pools, which can include HOA, condominium and club pools. On signs it says:

  • Pool rules for bathers are posted as approved by your jurisdictional building department (64E-9.008(6)). The same goes for spa signs and water feature signs.
  • The bathing load (the maximum number of bathers) must be posted (64E-9.008(9)(a)).
  • Where reclaimed water is used for irrigation near the pool, signs must tell patrons it is in use and not to drink it (64E-9.004(1)(e)).
  • Where pool use requires an admission or membership fee, the latest pool inspection report must be posted in plain view (64E-9.004(8)).

Because the building department approves the wording, the simplest path is to send us your approved text. If you don't have it yet, we lay out a standard set for your board and building department to review.

What we make

  • Pool rules and spa rules signs, in sizes such as 24"W x 36"H and 18"W x 24"H.
  • Maximum bather load and occupancy signs.
  • "No lifeguard on duty", "no glass", "pool hours" and "no diving" signs.
  • Reclaimed water notices for irrigation areas.
  • A clear acrylic holder or frame so the inspection report stays posted and readable.
  • Gate, cabana, shower and restroom signs, tennis and pickleball court signs, and fitness center rules, all in one matching style.

This page summarizes Florida Administrative Code 64E-9 for convenience. It is not legal advice. Your building department and health department have the final say on wording and placement.
